The Rev. Dr. Daniel Rosemergy

Born and raised in Copper Country, the Rev. Dr. Daniel Rosemergy is the son of the late Esther and Silas Rosemergy. He is a direct descendant of two families that lived and worked at Central when it was a working mine and community. He is a graduate of Calumet High School and attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where he earned B. A. and M. A. degrees.

After serving four years as an officer in the U.S. Navy, he pursued a "first career" in higher education administration, primarily at the University of Michigan. His decision to undertake seminary education in 1979 was a reaffirmation of the commitment to the ministry he made as a youth. He received a Master of Divinity degree with honors from the Divinity School at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, in 1982, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from the same institution in 1988.
